The two-party system is broken, and it’s time for Americans to have viable third party options (and more).
A third party vote isn’t a “wasted vote”; it’s a vote for a platform that neither of the two major parties—both of which benefit from electoral laws designed to keep them in power—are willing to provide.
These voters aren’t unengaged. They’ve researched their options, and they’re not happy with what either the Democrats or Republicans have to offer. If they hadn’t voted third party, they likely wouldn’t have voted at all.
Instead of bemoaning so-called “stolen” votes, both major parties should instead address the concerns of third party voters and win their support fair and square, says Feminists for Liberty’s Kat Murti in a BoldTV Millennial Minute debate featuring Political Strategist Ajay Bruno, moderated by BoldTV’s Julia Sun.
