Bio: Carla Howell is a 25-years-long libertarian activist. She served as Political Director and Executive Director for the Libertarian National Committee from 2011 to 2017, received the Libertarian Party’s Thomas Paine Award for Oustanding Communication of Libertarian Ideas in 2018, and was the Communications Director for Jo Jorgensen for President in 2020.
Howell has also run for office 3 times on the Libertarian ticket, almost beating her Republican opponent for U.S. Senate in 2000, and spearheaded three statewide ballot initiatives in Massachusetts (two to completely end the state’s income tax and one to cut the sales tax in half. She created the libertarian activist training tool called Who’s Driving and co-founded the Center For Small Government in 2005
She is now composing and recording libertarian-themed songs. Howell describes this one as “a music video that portrays guns as they really are: a life-saving means of self-defense.”
