Freedom’s Furies: How Isabel Paterson, Rose Wilder Lane, and Ayn Rand Found Liberty in an Age of Darkness

the cover of the book Freedom's Furies

In Freedom’s Furies, author Timothy Sandefur explores the events and intellectual currents that influenced three women—Isabel Paterson, Rose Wilder Lane, and Ayn Rand, often called the “founding mothers of libertarianism”—and how these women in turn influenced American thought and activism.

On November 30, the Cato Institute hosted a panel about the book, featuring Sandefur, Libertarian activist Carla Howell, Libertarianism.org editor Paul Meany, and Feminists for Liberty’s Kat Murti and Elizabeth Nolan Brown. You can check it out below, and find the book here.
