Women’s Suffrage Centennial Panel Aug. 18, 2020

The 19th Amendment was ratified on August 18, 1920.

Join us on August 18, 2020, at 7 p.m. EST to celebrate a century of women’s suffrage in America and a discussion of how women’s battle for the ballot and their eventual electoral power influenced the political landscape in the United States.

We’ll delve into topics including key divides in the suffrage movement, the early effects of women voting, the evolution of women in American politics, and how disenfranchisement and gender discrimination today. A Q&A will follow the discussion.

The panel will be broadcast over Zoom and feature Liberty Fund Senior Fellow Sarah Skwire, Director of Outreach at the Bill of Rights Institute Rachel Davison Humphries, and Feminists for Liberty leaders Kat Murti & Elizabeth Nolan Brown.
